News and events
Throughout the month the Honua Honu project welcomed new holders expanding the Shell’s family.
If you would also like to join us do not forget that there are a number of different ways to do so.
Just like QueenKat, CryptoSudOuest and Elianisweb3 who receive their very first Honu you can also become one of the lucky winners of the many contests organized by Cryptortue on Twitter.
But you can also make your own luck by ordering your personalized Honu like K0laW and Man Versus Coin.
They were able to take advantage of the $HonuCoin they won and accumulated on the Discord’s Casin’Honu.
We are delighted to have them on board and welcome them to the adventure.
After a week dedicated to the Village des Tortues de Carnoules and the sale of various Honu from the 2023 Halloween’s special collection the Honua Honu association managed to raise 15.12 $EGLD equivalent to around €415.
This donation was made possible thanks to the active participation of the community which we are proud to have on our side.
We will keep you posted in the next few days on the delivery of the donation and its successful reception.
October was marked by an important event concerning a Honu-friendly project.
It only took a few days for DinoVox to “sell GraOut” the 2,000 Dinos from the Permian phase.
Many new holders have joined the Saurian family contributing to the growth of the community.
Major developments will soon be unveiled so do not hesitate to follow the footsteps.
ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP
This October we are proud to welcome the BULBiMasksByBullBiDoo project which has decided to support the Honu initiative welcoming as well xBull-Bizarre and DMDOO as new members of the association.
Thanks to them and their contribution in $EGLD the association now has 49 members and a larger pool to help the next association to be chosen by the Honu.
And let us not forget that the association is only one member short of giving every member a chance to win the superb gift offered by AlexPaulNice last month.

Punish’Honu: The Fearless Shooter of Honua Honu

Punish’Honu has arrived to shake up the island’s tranquility with his passion for firearms. Nothing makes him smile more than the crackle of his rifle.
But beneath his stern exterior Punish’Honu is a mystery. He keeps his emotions and reasons well buried never explaining to anyone why he is constantly angry.
Fortunately the warm welcome of the First 9 knows no limits and they know that beneath his rugged exterior lies a fearless protector ready to do anything to defend the island in times of danger.
Although he is a fearsome marksman and can be deadly even without a weapon he can reveal a friendlier side of him during evenings around the fire sharing a few jokes and battle stories.
If you are in his circle of friends you will be safe but beware of provoking his wrath as the consequences could be disastrous.
Soldat Honu: Honua Honu’s Enigmatic Sentinel

Soldat Honu is the kind of Honu who often shouts jumps around and performs mysterious rolls at any time of day. His constant vigilance sometimes has the effect of exhausting the island’s other residents.
Wearing a “slightly” unkempt helmet at all times he can often be found perched at the top of a tree scanning the horizon or hidden deep in a trench dug in the dark of night.
The reasons for this constant preparation remain a mystery to all.
When walking around the island keep an eye out if you hear “grenaaaaade” being shouted as you could be hit in the face by a coconut or fall into one of the many holes he has dug.
Link Honu: The Valiant Adventurer of Honua Honu

Link Honu is a master of both bow and sword a true virtuoso of adventure.
Always ready to fly to the aid of the (same) princess in distress he tirelessly explores the vast world and island of Honua Honu.
Equipped with his trusty shield he is ready to protect those in need and never shies away from a battle be it against a legendary monster or dangerous beasts with big teeth.
If you come across Link Honu he will be delighted to share his countless adventures with you or to enchant you with the melodies of his ocarina around the fire in the evening.
Ratat’Honu: The Marmite Maestro of Honua Honu

A new duo has burst onto the island bringing not only joy but also the rhythm of the pots.
Ratat’Honu and his faithful rat friend (his cooking accomplice) have become fixtures on Honua Honu.
He is always ready to concoct culinary delights pushing the limits of creativity to dazzle his companions’ taste buds.
He is a talented chef but there is a persistent rumor among the Honu.
Some say that all these delicious creations are actually the work of his friend the rat whom he considers his kitchen help.
However the important thing for gourmands is not to know who is the master in the kitchen but to enjoy the salads and other dishes prepared by this duo.
CruchHonu : The Zeal Gendarme by Honua Honu

CruchHonu is known for his keen sense of justice and he takes his role as a law-enforcement officer in stride even a little too much so according to some Honu.
Equipped with his binoculars he observes daily life on the island but is always ready to intervene to rectify any situation that goes beyond the bounds of legality especially the most far-fetched.
His favorite mission? Track down any Honu who is a little too adventurous and likes to roam around without their shells even if it means disguising himself as his comrade-in-arms Soldat Honu to catch out the mischievous ones.
But CruchHonu is determined to take on his ultimate challenge: catching Honu Invisible who proudly struts around without her underpants.
Fauch’Honu : Honua Honu’s Emissary of Death

Contrary to appearances Fauch’Honu is far from evil despite her irritable sulky side when people criticize her work. This can even cause her to desert the island for days at a time creating chaos without “shells”.
This is precisely what happens every year when she takes her week’s vacation during Halloween unable to stand all the excitement surrounding this event that steals the show.
Beware to those who gets too close to her Fauch’Honu has a temper.
Honu Zombie: The Haunted Shell of Honua Honu

Halloween is a time greatly appreciated by Zombie Honu finally allowing her to roam the island without being the only one to terrify others.
Zombie Honu moves slowly across the island dragging her shell and even pretending to lose one of her legs to gently scare the others.
She takes advantage of the fact that everyone is dressed up to mingle with the children and grab all their sweets.
On the night of the 31st you will find Zombie Honu holding a little party on the beach where she tells zombie stories to her friends but always with a touch of humor.
Mich’Honu: Master of the Zombies

Despite all the good humor and benevolence on the island Mich’Honu is one of those Honu you should not get too close to whether you are part of the living world or not.
You will always see her accompanied by her trusty sword and her two chained zombie turtles which enable her to cross places infested with walking corpses unhindered.
However there is a rumor that Honu Grimes and her are romantically involved which is why they are often seen together.
But beware of those who dare speak of it in her presence or they risk being the third person down the chain.
Honu Grimes: The Sheriff of Halloween

On the island a peculiar Honu arrives among the community.
Honu Grimes armed with his revolvers is a fervent Halloween devotee. During this period he makes it his mission to keep order by mercilessly slaughtering any zombies who dare disturb the Honu’s peace.
A former sheriff or so he says he does not hesitate to draw his weapons to keep the peace on the island accompanied by his lifelong comrade. The undead emerging from their graves can expect the most hostile welcome.
Avoid macabre or decomposing disguises if you do not want to attract the attention of Honu Grimes who is ready to open fire at the slightest suspicious appearance.
This Honu’s atypical cry then echoes through the air reminding everyone that during Halloween it is best not to provoke him.
Honugan: The Bloody Barbed wire Guardian of Honua Honu

Despite his sometimes questionable methods no one can say whether Honugan is one of the good guys or the bad guys but he is always ready to help protect the island and all its inhabitants.
However he and Mich’Honu share a deep aversion to zombies whom he takes great pleasure in eliminating with his beloved bat nicknamed Lucille.
Glenn Honu’s name comes up frequently in stories about this Honu and no one knows whether only zombies have succumbed to the blows of his fetish weapon when he wields it to protect his companions.
Ror’Honu Zoro: Honua Honu’s ultimate swordsman

After months of crossing the seas with his inseparable companion Honu D. Luffy Ror’Honu Zoro lands on the island of Honua Honu.
Marked by the memory of his late rival from whom he inherited the weapon dearest to his heart he solemnly swore to become the world’s ultimate swordsman. The sword he inherited became his pride and inspiration.
Sporting his three precious swords he trains intensively every day in pursuit of his ultimate goal.
This determination can sometimes make him seem reserved and a little gruff.
But do not let his austere appearance fool you. If you dare to ask him to share his stories he will be delighted to take you along on his adventures with the crew of the Straw hat and his loyal friends.
