Hi ! I’m Honu
WELCOME TO MY ISLAND
If you are here it is probably because you have seen me on your Twitter feed or you have stumbled across our Discord channel.
Either way let me introduce myself!
My name is Honu which means “turtle” in Tahitian.
On one of my sea journey a few months ago I came across a rather strange island.
Let me be your guide and I will introduce you to it and to its inhabitants!
I decided to name our island Honua Honu, “The World of Turtles“. Because it was not long before new Honus were being washed ashore day after day. And that’s still going on today!
This beautiful island is not very big but its ecosystem its flora and fauna change very quickly. You can go from a heavenly beach to a desert or a mountain village in just a few steps. And yet our turtle steps are very small!
As I was saying very rapidly Honu were washed up on the beach one after the other day after day.
I was there to welcome them help them settle in and a community spirit quickly started to grow.
With the arrival of the first nine we decided to form a small group. Our goal? To help and to share!
Each new Honu arriving will be accompanied as she settles in gets her bearings and finds the ecosystem that suits her best.
This small group is made up of fighters magicians and leaders. There are no good guys or bad guys. We are all working towards the same goal: to help Honu who become stranded and to defend our island in times of need.

A COLLECTION OF NFT
Our creator Cryptortue wants the majority of us to be gifts often offered as rewards for small contests launched on Twitter.
It also happens that members of the community wish to buy us to get the character they prefer! In this case our creator tailors us for the person who wants to adopt us working step by step with them to make sure they are happy to receive us.
Each of us has its own characteristics. A name of course but also a rarity, a sex, an age, a speed of movement, a level, a type which corresponds to our place of birth, and finally a sign which depends on our month of birth.
All these characteristics are useful for the ecosystem set up around our beautiful island. But I will tell you more about them later so take your time and enjoy your visit!

But Honua Honu is not just a classic NFT project! It aims to raise awareness of the urgent need to protect and help animals!
That is why specific collections are regularly created and put on sale!
All funds raised are then donated to an association that fights for defends or cares for animals. These actions are managed and coordinated by the association portion of the project.
What? I have not told you about our non-profit association yet? How forgetful of me!
