The various book packs

If you have been keeping up to date with the Honua Honu project you have certainly seen (or heard) some information about the different types of book editions.
And if you have not “what are you waiting for ?” and on a more serious note that is just as well because this article is here to enlighten you!

An important point. There are currently no plans for the book to be published in any language other than French.

Book or books ?

It seems that a certain Jean Pierre Sauron referred to the Honua Honu storybook in these terms:

Three editions for the Elven Kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf Lords in their stone dwellings,

One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,

After investigation I was unable to find this passage during the last Honu AMA, or in the book’s article so we will start again from 0 !

Back to basics !

There are already two ways to set up sales:

• Via Ulule for people who wish to pay in “fiat” currency (the money not the car), in shitcoin euros for those who want to follow the project’s full progress.
• In EGLD (or USDC equivalent) via FrameIt for those who prefer to pay in cryptocurrency.

The benefits will be the same as the price (converted in euros for EGLD / USCD) will be the same for each edition. Only a little surprise will be available on the FrameIt side but I will come back to that later !

So what do we mean by “editions” and how many will there be ?

Initially we wanted to offer 3 editions of the book with different printing qualities and details.
Each edition would of course have its own set of bonuses justifying the “special” aspect and inevitably the price but above all the higher the price the higher the quality of the book.

When printing a book you can choose from a wide range of options: matt or glossy cover print quality selective/glossy varnish “foam” cover thicker or thinner paper more or less gloss etc. Of course each of these elements has an impact on the print price and can easily double it.

So we had the idea of offering a “classic” edition at the lowest price with fine print quality followed by a “deluxe” edition and a “collector’s edition” each with an extra notch.

In the end we said no! This book is aimed at children and most of it will be bought by the Honu community so we want ultra-high quality!

So instead of talking about publishing we are going to talk about “packs”.

So it has been decided that ALL packs will get the best of the best in quality books. Beautiful cover (I will say no more for the moment) thick matte paper top-notch printing !
In short whichever pack you select the book will be the same and high quality.

The price difference will be based on the additions/bonuses that will be linked to each pack. So whatever you can afford you will get the best of the best ! No disappointment for Honu !

So what does all this add up to ?

Ulule makes it possible to track the entire sale and above all to unlock a whole system of bonuses.

At each milestone which we will define with @lilwhitecamera a bonus/goodie will be unlocked. For example if more than 20 books are ordered we will add a Honu-shaped eraser as a bonus (this is just an example !).

This eraser will then be offered to all purchasers regardless of the type of pack ordered. And so on for each level unlocked.
Of course all goodies will be of the highest quality and related to the world of Honu ! Do not worry about that.

It will therefore be possible to purchase 3 different packs:

• The “Baby Honu” pack which will include the book and all the goodies linked to the Ulule stages.
• The “Teen Honu” pack which will include the book all the goodies linked to the levels and additional surprises that will be revealed when the Ulule campaign opens. I can already tell you that the book will be autographed by the illustrator and the author !
• The “Adult Honu” pack which will include everything in the “Teen Honu” pack plus other great surprises !

Each of these packs will be offered at a different price so that there is something for everyone. And it is all going to happen on Ulule.

However it will also be possible to purchase these packs via FrameIt and a dedicated SFT collection.
Please note that these purchases will be made in limited numbers on a first-come first-served basis.

The first 3 packs will be available at the same price as listed on Ulule and will come with exactly the same goodies ! Each Ulule level unlocked will give access to bonuses via the NFT.
But in addition there will be a 4th pack the “Golden Honu” which will be available in very very limited quantities and which in addition to all the bonuses will have a little something in extra…

Now you know all about the different packs that will be available and how they work ! There is still a lot of mystery particularly regarding the content of these different packs but if I was to reveal it all today you would be bored afterwards !
