A Honua Honu tale – Lilou
On Tuesday November 28, 2023 we had the pleasure of welcoming over thirty people for a VMA (Vivii Me Anything) on the Honua Honu Discord server.
Here is a look back at the evening and the announcements that took place!
Little Lilou travels the world of Honua Honu
If you caught a glimpse of the first cover published a few weeks ago now you will have seen that a little blonde girl with a mischievous look was accompanied by Honu the very first Honu to arrive on our beautiful island.
This cover was not definitive and was intended to introduce you to the book project without spoilers.
At the party the final cover was presented and the little girl’s name was revealed: Lilou.
The little blonde head meets Honu and they set off on an island adventure together. But why? What is his quest? That is what you will have to find out in the book!
How can I buy the book?
Two solutions will be possible. Via the Ulule campaign and via a limited number of NFTs.
Ulule Campaign
From Monday January 8 until Friday February 9, 2024 you will be able to purchase the book via the Ulule website. Do not panic everything will be explained shortly (campaign link, how it works…).
3 packs will be available including the book all the goodies unlocked as the campaign progresses and items specific to each of them.
I will come back to the contents of the packs and the goodies in a future article! Full details will be given before the campaign kicks off on January 8, 2024.
NFT via FrameIt
These packs are also available via NFT purchase in very limited content. The aim is not to sell the majority as NFT as we would not be able to finance the printing of the books. That is why the emphasis will be on Ulule with a few NFT on a very limited supply.
The “Baby Honu” pack will be available in 5 copies “Teen Honu” and “Adult Honu” in 3 copies each.
But there is also a special edition the “Legendary Honu” (called “Golden Honu” on the screen) which will include all the contents of the “Adult Honu” pack plus a personalized drawing by Lilwhitecamera.
This will represent your Honu if you have one or will be the illustration of the Honu “of your dreams”.
This last pack will be unique and we have proposed two sales methods during the VMA:
– A “classic” purchase at the price of €100 with a first-come first-served sale.
– A “lottery-style” purchase via FrameIt where everyone can buy a ticket at a reduced price for a chance to win the NFT.
The auction option was proposed by those present but we wanted to keep the amount fixed, so that everyone could try their luck.
A lottery-style sale has therefore been chosen. We will be back to give you all the details shortly.
Generally speaking as with the Ulule campaign we will be coming back to you throughout the month to give you more details on the content of the packs the sale dates and the overall functioning of the whole operation.
A mug to rule them all !
Good humor being the watchword during our VMA participants were able to try their luck at winning 2 gifts taken from the book.
A “Honu Quinn” mug was won by The Honusponge and a “Honualf le Gris” mug by Yoyo_ge. They will be able to drink their tea or coffee in the company of these two adventurers who will feature in the story. But why? And how? Are they there to help Lilou or prevent her from achieving her goal?

Yoghurts and candles
Last but not least the “Yoghurts and candles” operation was launched to round off the event.
Lilwhitecamera works in the basement of the Honua Honu Discord so she needs light and a little food (but not too much!).
That is why all Discord members can help by buying yoghurts and candles via HonuCoins ($ HC) collected at the casino to give to our illustrator.
Each entry will give an extra chance to win gifts in a draw at the start of the Ulule campaign.
