How about some news?

Let us have a little chat! It has been a long time since we have sat down together to talk about the weather and give each other some news!

How are you dear reader? Is everything going well in your life?

As far as the Honu are concerned everything is going well and progressing smoothly!
You know our motto: slow but steady! So let us see what we are working on at the moment!

The Honua Honu Collection

With 167 Honu minted so far we are slowly approaching the 200 NFT mark in total in the collection. There are still a dozen orders in progress which are being handled as we go along and more little turtles will arrive in giveaways on Twitter as they have been since the project began.

It is likely that I will decide to take a break at 200 so that I can move on to the other points I will be detailing below.

But in any case break or not Honu holders will continue to be able to take part in all sorts of contests especially on Wednesdays on Discord and to continue to win EGLD and other things…

And I have not forgotten that I would like to send each NFT Honu owner its associated figurine. As the test shipments were not conclusive (broken figurines, unsuitable packaging) I still need to work on it. But the 200 break will be an opportunity to tell you more!

Honu Game – The Island Guardians

Whaaaaaaaat ? HaveI just told you the name of the upcoming game?

It is possible…
And I can even tell you that if all is going well in the days to come: a beta will be set up in September!
The aim will be to let you test the first part of the game and check that everything is working properly.
Then we will do a little reset to get everyone back on an equal footing and the game’s Anotau 1 (season 1) will get underway!
4 Anotau are already planned each of which will bring new features and possibilities to the game.

But that is all I will say for now if you stay alert you should see things coming soon!

The Rag’s

If you are at all familiar with the world of Honu you know that the Ragondins also known as Rag’s are the sworn even ancestral enemies of our shelled friends.

Their leader Rag’Hodin was defeated in savage attacks on our discord server and since then the First 9 have continued to monitor any suspicious activity.
But in the shadows things are happening. Alliances are forming. Something is afoot we are sure of it.

100 of these mammals with a very limited IQ will be integrated into a new NFT collection enabling their owners to become part of the great Honua Honu family. They will also be able to intervene in the game Island Guardians to sabotage the advance of the testudines group.

How? How? Why is it here? What time is it?

We will let you know more soon I promise. For the time being I will have to keep an eye on Ms. Lilwhitecamera who is working behind the scenes to bring you the most beautiful drawings possible. On the other hand we would like to make it clear that we are not responsible for the silly looks on these critters’ faces. It is only their true nature!

A series of short stories will be published before their arrival to tell you about the lives of these furry animals each one sillier than the next and help you better understand their way of life.

A Honua Honu tale – Lilou

The book’s pre-order campaign ended on February 16 2024 and if you have been following our news you know that we have had a lot of problems with the print company.

But this whole complicated phase is over the books have been sent out and your feedbacks have been really great.
We have received tons of photos and videos of you and your children opening the packages or reading the book together as a family and that is just extraordinary!

Now we still have a bit of work to do with Lilwhitecamera to account for the remaining books in good condition (i.e. not many) and the books that are not totally perfect but that can still be sold.

We will be introducing the possibility of buying these books directly from the website probably in September.
The perfect books will be sold at the expected price i.e. €20 and the “non-perfect” books will be given a discount so that everyone can get in on the action.
Thereafter the book will go on sale on platforms such as Amazon and Fnac in print-on-demand and digital versions.
There are also plans to translate the digital version to English so that our English-speaking friends can discover the world of Honu and Lilou’s journey.

It is not imposible that we might offer some goodies for sale (key-rings, exlibris, stickers, mugs, etc.) as this is a request that came up regularly.
We need to take the time to see how we can do this simply efficiently and at a reasonable price and with top-notch quality.

Honua Honu Association

The association continues to grow little by little membership after membership and we will be able to launch the second donation of 2024. As promised at the start of the book campaign 15% of my share of the profits will be donated to the association in Euros. I will be announcing this very soon in total transparency as always.

Moreover we are in the process of getting in touch with the association we would like to help to see if they agree in principle and to discuss together how we can proceed.

Chances are that this second donation of the year will not be linked to a dedicated Honu collection simply because of a lack of time.
But the association’s war chest is substantial thanks to your donations and memberships and we are preparing a small event that will enable you to actively participate in this donation without having to pay a cent just by giving a few minutes of your precious time.

We will be back on the subject as soon as the association we would like to help has responded – it is just a matter of a few days if all goes well!
